Send map markers to your GPS

With the NAV2US mapplet any position marker from any source, even from another mapplet can be imported and sent directly to your GPS, (Garmin, TomTom, Navman or Mio, for the moment). You can also download a GPX file – (the standard GPS exchange format). Search across Google Maps and pass the results direct to your GPS.

Do you want to send your Google Maps search results to your GPS?? Now you can with Nav'it! for Google Maps ™.

Integration with Mozilla Firefox:

Drag the following link Nav'it! Bookmarklet directly to the 'Bookmarks' menu of your navigator .
Go to Google Maps, pick an area you are interested in and do a search.
Once you have the first results, and when you see one you are interested in, click on the Firefox bookmark entry that you have just created, called 'Nav'it! Google Maps'
The results are ready to be added to your selection! Pick the ones you want and repeat the process as many times as you wish (you will have to close and re-open the bookmarklet each time you want to send more results).

Integration with Internet Explorer:

Right click on the following link Nav'it! Bookmarklet and click on “Add to favourites...” .
Go to Google Maps, pick an area you are interested in and do a search.
Once you have the first results, and when you see one you are interested in, click on the favourites entry that you have just created, called 'Nav'it! Google Maps'
The results are ready to be added to your selection! Pick the ones you want and repeat the process as many times as you wish (you will have to close and re-open the bookmarklet each time you want to send more results).

Our bookmarklet has been tested with Firefox and Internet Explorer… we hope to shortly increase the number of compatible navigators.

You can also copy any URL that generates a KML or KMZ file and pass the spots container in these files to your selection in NAV2US.

To do this simply copy the link that generates the file and past it into the text box on this page.

Click on the “Send” button and the POI’s contained in the KML or KMZ files will then pass to your NAV2US selection, and from there you can download them to your GPS..

It's all about local search…you get more relevant results when adding the "WHERE" search criteria to the usual "WHAT". Further more, you have the chance of looking at spots nearby when activating content layers from our partners (Panoramio, Flickr, 11870,...).

You will also be able to decide which point of interest you prefer by checking community ratings, as every result targeted at reviewed locations will show their ratings and number of reviews.
