(prefer reading english?…see below) Hoy hemos puesto en marcha una nueva herramienta que estamos convencidos te será de grandísima utilidad a la hora de planificar tus salidas… la búsqueda avanzada sobre mapa. Se trata de una herramienta de búsqueda local con la que conseguirás resultados más relevantes para ti al añadir el criterio “DONDE lo buscas” al habitual “QUÉ buscas”. Además podrás ver más lugares cercanos al activar las capas de contenido de nuestros socios colaboradores (Panoramio, 11870, Flickr,…)

También podrás elegir tus puntos de interés en función de las revisiones de usuarios, pues todos aquellos resultados que apunten a sitios con referencias mostrarán tanto la valoración como el número de reseñas hechas.

A partir de ahí podrás importar los puntos elegidos uno a uno a tu selección, y así estarán listos para ser enviados a tu GPS!

We have just released a new cool tool we believe will be really helpful when planning your trips out…the advanced map search. It’s all about local search…you get more relevant results when adding the “WHERE” search criteria to the usual “WHAT” criteria. Further more, you’ll have the chance to have a look at spots nearby when activating content layers from our partners (Panoramio, Flickr, 11870,…).

You will also be able to decide which point of interest you prefer by checking community ratings, as every result targeted at reviewed locations will show their ratings and number of reviews.

Made up your mind? …you’re ready to import any landmark to your selection and so make it ready to send to your GPS!

A principios de esta semana Google nos publicó finalmente un mapplet (mini-aplicación que corre dentro de Google Maps) que permite importar cualquier marcador de posición (tipo: , , , , …), incluso los marcadores generados por otros mapplets, a tu cuenta de nav2us para desde ahí poderlos enviar a tu GPS, guardarlos como un mapa propio, enviarlo a amigos, verlos en Google Earth, etc…

Early this week Google finally published our new mapplet (mini-application that runs within Google Maps) that allows to import any map marker (e.g.: , , , , …), even those generated by other mapplets, into your nav2us account and make them ready to send to your GPS, save them as your own map, send them to your friends, view them in Google Earth, etc…

La pasada semana tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer mucha gente muy interesante en Fitur. At the moment our system is compatible with devices from the two main players in the GPS market: Garmin and TomTom, meaning we cover nearly an 80% slice of the global pie in terms of dedicated navigation devices. We’re working to offer you more brands in the very short term… In the meantime though, you can download your fave spots in GPX Exchange format, and that way use nearly any GPS device.

Of course you also have the possibility of viewing your selection in Google Earth.

Si eres de los que usas internet para comprar tus billetes de avión, alquilar tu coche, reservar tu hotel…tienes una nueva herramienta gratuita para ser aún más autosuficiente y viajar con total libertad…con la ayuda de tu GPS!

En nav2us podrás enviar a tu navegador…

• los sitios favoritos de otros usuarios ordenados por etiquetas y por valoraciones de la comunidad, complementados con fotografías y comentarios del sitio
• resultados simultáneos de sitios externos como Panoramio, Flickr o Locr…(por ahora)
• los marcadores de tus mapas de Google Maps! algo realmente útil!…desde hoy puedes planificar tus viajes y luego importar tus marcadores en nuestra aplicación para luego enviarlos fácilmente a tu navegador.

Por ahora nuestro sistema es compatible con las 2 primeras marcas del mercado, Garmin y TomTom, por lo que cubrimos practicamente el 80% de la cuota de mercado mundial de dispositivos GPS dedicados. Estamos trabajando para ofrecerte muy pronto el resto de marcas…y ya tenemos muy avanzada la compatibilidad con Navman, Mio y Navigon! Mientras tanto siempre podrás descargarte tus lugares favoritos en formato de intercambio gpx, así -de una manera algo más indirecta- podrás usar prácticamente cualquier GPS.

Por supuesto también tienes la posibilidad de ver tu selección de puntos en Google Earth.

Para documentar tus zonas de interés, te planteamos una selección de los sitios más cercanos referenciados por la Wikipedia.

Y por último, lo más importante…aporta tu propio contenido y participa valorando y comentando el contenido de otros! sin eso esta comunidad perdería todo su sentido!

Althoug it seemed we’d never reach this point… to coincide with the arrival of the 2008 winter solstice, nav2us is born. Since we read that during the next few days we’ll see the brightest full moon now than for the next 16 years, and that if you look a couple of hand spans west of the moon, golden Mars will be exceptionally bright thanks to a close alignment of it, the Sun and the Earth,… don’t you think this is a perfect date for a new beacon to shine?

Here’s hoping that this new and free social web tool, that from today is at the disposition of the community, can be a guiding light for your future travel experiences!

…parecía que nunca llegaría este día. Por fin, y coincidiendo con la llegada del solsticio de invierno’08, ve la luz nav2us. Supimos que en estos días veremos la luna llena más brillante de los próximos 16 años, y que si miramos 2 palmos al oeste, Marte también se mostrará excepcionalmente brillante por estar muy cerca de su alineación con el Sol y la Tierra…no os parece que es una fecha estupenda para ver la luz??

Esperamos que esta nueva herramienta gratuita, que desde hoy ponemos a disposición de la comunidad, ‘ilumine’ muchos de vuestros viajes!
